The Ultimate Pork Alternative
If you have never tried beef bacon, you are in for an incredible culinary upgrade. Cut from the beef belly (also known as the navel), it features beautiful ribbons of rich, rendered fat and lean meat. It cooks up wonderfully crispy just like traditional pork bacon but delivers a much deeper, robust, and savory beef flavor that stands out on any plate.
Transparent, Classic Ingredients
Great meat doesn’t need to be hidden behind artificial flavors. We cure our Beef Bacon with a simple, tried-and-true blend of ingredients to enhance the natural flavor of our pasture-raised beef:
Ingredients: Beef, Salt, Sugar, Black Pepper, Paprika, Seasoning (Salt, Sodium Nitrite [6.25%]).
The Wagyu-Charolais Difference
Great bacon requires excellent marbling, which is why our proprietary Wagyu-Charolais cross cattle are the perfect source. By blending the legendary fat structure of the Wagyu breed with the hearty meat yield of the Charolais, we have crafted a perfectly balanced slice of bacon. Raised locally on the Twisted V Ranch, this is genuine East Texas farm-to-table quality.
Cooking & Meal Prep Recommendations
Because beef bacon has a slightly different fat structure than pork, we highly recommend cooking it low and slow to let the fat render beautifully without burning the lean edges.
Oven-Baked (Recommended): Lay the strips flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until perfectly crisp. This ensures an even cook and saves your stovetop from splatters!
Cast Iron Skillet: Start the bacon in a cold cast-iron pan over medium-low heat. Let the fat slowly render out, turning the strips frequently until they reach your desired crunch.
Save the Tallow: Don’t discard the drippings! Rendered beef bacon fat is liquid gold. Save it in a glass jar to fry your farm-fresh eggs, sear steaks, or roast your potatoes later in the week.
